Stories

The Lostine RiverNate Wilson: On a day when we left home without a plan, it was a good surprise to wander into the Eastern Oregon town of Lostine and find an enticing canyon leading away from town. Following the wild and scenic Lostine River toward the Eagle Cap Wilderness of the Wallowa Mountains, we went as far as we could but were eventually stopped by deep snow that was still accumulating in early March.
